I have had this LINKSYS Wireless Router for about 8 months and have yet to use it with any luck. Linksys suport stinks and takes about a week to get each reply back . And they keep giving me the run around. Can someone please give me some advice on how to solve my problem .
Everthing is connected correctly . After about 5 minutes or less of surfing the internet or downloading a large file , it like stops all transmission . Here are the following examples :
1) If I am on AOL AIM . It disconnects every couple of minutes and then reconnects after about 30 seconds . This can go on for hours until I disconnect the router .
2) If I am downloading a large file like 100MB . It will download about 10mb . The meter will look like its still going , but its not . It will stay stuck until I hit close and the try to redownload the same file . It will continue where it left off and go for another couple of minutes .
3) When surfing web pages , after about the same amount of time (5min) , the pages will not load .
I have 2 computers and would like to have them both networked to use the internet . I even bought a NETGEAR hub to see if that would work . SAME PROBLEM . If anyone out there has any clues . Please post them . THX.
