We have a dial up modem and can connect to the internet. When we try to load a page IE seems to run through its search too fast and within the first second defaults to the search page which shows a "no response from server".
It seems as if the browser isn't giving any time for a response before it times out and we have a similar problem with AIM. We can ping the sites just fine just not connect to them through a browser.
I've gone through all the setting for modem and IE. Can this be fixed in the registry and where?
