Hi all,
well here goes, at the risk of betraying my alliances, I was fed up recently with IE6 (completely updated) continuously crashing (ntdll errors). I decided to give Mozilla Firefox a go and at first there were no problems with this browser - completely stable on all sites that used to make IE6 crash. When I tried to access secure banking sites - I needed to download a java applet for Firefox. I had a lot of trouble doing this and eventually gave up. The install package kept hanging. When I tried IE6 which previously could access these sites, I now found that I could no longer login. After trying all day to find out the problem, I eventually gave up and did a complete reinstall and upgrade from XP Home to XP Professional and completely reinstalled all critical updates. I am still unable to access secure banking sites even after adjusting cookies etc. I am running a PIII with 384Mb RAM, Norton AV and Zonealarm Pro.
Can anyone help?
