I need serious help here because I've been trying to get my head around this for three weeks now. Windows keeps telling me that I am running out of space on drive C, but i clearly have 8 GB left... but in that is ANOTHER PROBLEM.
for a while i thought, okay, i have 8 GB left... that must be because of all the stuff i'm downloading in Emule. So i deleted all of my temporary files to clean up some space (for those of you unfamiliar, emule saves temp files of your downloads so even if the download isn't complete you will still have 100MB or however big it is just sitting there in your temp DIR).
So i deleted the temporary files and hey, now i have 30 GB. Okay!
I rebooted later on after doing standard things like checking my email and visiting websites... and I AM BACK DOWN TO 8 GB!!! I have not downloaded anything, there are no temporary files cached except for 2 or 3 that are nowhere even CLOSE to 25 GB in size.
it hasn't been saying "you are running out of space on drive C" anymore, but i still should have a LOT more than 8 GB. I manually checked all of my folder sizes and it added up to about 9 GB of used space. I don't get it. PLEASE help me!!

Hi Cepo ,

How large is that drive ?
What you could do is boot from a floppy and use checkdisk or scandisk. Also set folder options to show hidden files and folders in win 98. A virus check would also be a good idea.

Keyboard error or no keyboard present

press F1 to continue ; Del to enter setup

cmon suggestion is good, also check to see if you have a virus file quarantined that keeps replicating. I had a (supposed) game I downloaded from Kazaa (old dumb days) that was infected, NAV caught it but when I quarantined it, it would recreate itself, again and again. When I checked my quarantine folder it was over 6GB in size because of replication. Just a thought.
