Hello.

I really didn't know how to pose this question in the subject line. I also wasn't sure what criteria to use in a search.

Basically I have two *.reg files on a networked computer, my kid's computer. The reg files disable and enable access to iexplore.exe, (the internet).

I have a shortcut to a shared folder on their computer where I can access the reg files, but when I run them they effect my computer.

So my question is: how to make these reg files effect their registry, not mine.

Thanks.

Aww, come on ladies and gents, do I have to go and purchase PCAnywhere or something like that?

Do I have to physically drag my lazy butt to the other computer to run the batch file so that it effects my kids computer and not mine?

Networking is all new stuff to me.

You could always use NetMeeting, rather than PCAnywhere....

Well a free program you could use is tight vnc. Also if i am not terribly mistaken xp comes with a remote registry service. According to my win 2000 it allows remote registry manipualtion. Also disabled since i want no remote registry creepy crawlers.

The way i do it. I open up the settings for my router ,and filter out the ip adress that i dont allow to use the internet. Then again i have no idea how you connect.

Keyboard error or no keyboard present

press F1 to continue ; Del to enter setup

Use Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) which is built into WinXP Pro to connect to your childs PC and run the script.
If you don't know where RDC is, you can either type Remote Desktop Connection in help or email me at jrichardson6@satx.rr.com
