Everytime I click a link or type in a url, it will load the page but then hang for 15-20 seconds before I can do anything. I have tried closing all programs one at a time, using the web reset in ie's options, deleted all spyware and ran antivirus prog, even tried doing a system restore to about a week ago well before the problem started but it still did it.
This problem appeared out of the blue and it is getting extremly annoying....does anyone know what else I could try?

I started having the same problems yesterday. No matter which URL, IE "hangs" for 15-20 seconds. I cannot scroll, click, minimize, enter, nuttin!. The problem does not affect Netscape or Windows Explorer. I have run SPYBOT, Ad-AWARE, and ran the latest virus checks (updated March 1st). I have shut down all running processes that I could and the problem persists. I am running Win2k. This is my corp PC. IT is on their way. I have NEVER had to have IT fix my machine before...I pride myself on keeping a clean machine.
BTW: I did NOT download or install anything Friday or Monday (the day it started happening). I have not had any previous problems. The problem is EXTREMELY annoying and acts like SPYWARE. The problem occurs even when I click "BACK" to a previous page. I have deleted all CACHE, COOKIES, and I have atleast 2GB free disk space. I will see if IT can fix and if so, I'll post their solution.

Sounds like we have the same problem. My computer was fine friday and was idle until sunday when the problem appeared. I thought for sure the system restore would fix it. For now I've switched over to Opera. Hope the IT guys can figure it out.

GOOD NEWS...Downloaded free sweeper from www.spysweeper.com and used that tool...problem is now gone...my guess is some time delayed ad/spyware is causing the glitch....Hope this helps ya'll
