IE Search doesn't work (W2K)

When I click on the Search button, to open the search bar, it says "an error has occured in the script on this page". Could this be because of a spyware?

This is the message that I get when I click the 'customize' button inside the search bar.

"An error has occured in the page.

What can be the problem? Should I do a reinstall for IE?
