I was reading below some of the Rundll fixes. Last night I was simply downloading a service pack update from Microsoft on their site and when it said to reboot...everything went wrong! It said I had missing files, corrupt files, overlaid files and then after scan disc did its thing, I now have this Rundll32.EXE problem and can't do anything in the control panel, can't defreg, can't reboot without just shutting off the power and can't get outa 'safe mode' and it's says it's a corrupt file-to reload...OK, from where and how...help!! I'm dying here in computer hell...

Kevin, get to a command prompt and type in:

<font color=red>scanreg /restore</font color=red>

This will restore your registry from the date it was last backed up. This should help.
