Internet Connection Sharing (WXP-Home)

I have problems with Internet Connection Sharing. The host has AOL 8.0 and the Internet Sharing works fine, but when you disconnect the settings are lost! It's really mad because you have to re-enable the Internet Conection Sharing tick box (located under the Advanced Tab of the Internet Connection). I have tried proxy software which works but is no good because I want to be able to play games on-line. Is there a way to make Windows remember these settings for the Internet Sharing?
