Problem with IE (W98)

Hello..
I need Help. I am using Internet Explorer 5 version. when i try to connect internet it is trying to read floppy drive and it is hanging. how to solve this problem. is there any virus in my system? please help me

Have you already checked for viruses with the most recent update of your antivirus software? And tried the usual antispyware tool like AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy (both freeware)?
