Recently one of my friends downloaded a popup block on my computer when I wasn't watching. When I found out I (eventually) got rid of it. Ever since Internet Explorer hasn't been working. I am forced to use netscape and frankly I don't want to. Everytime I try to use internet explorer now it gives me a page cannot be displayed thing and on top of the window it says cannot find server. I dunno how to fix this and need help. I have a cable connection and am on a computer which is part of a network if that matters. Oh and I did reinstall internet explorer after it broke, but that didn't help.

Have you checked to see if IE-6 is your default browser? Look in Internet Options > Program tab.
The options to reset IE-6 and make it the default are at the bottom. If IE-6 isn't the default browser it acts as you describe.

I tried making sure that IE is the default browser. It wasn't so I changed it to default like you said (I assume netscape was default since thats what I'm using now), but it still doesn't work. :( Better than my ideas anyway, could it be something else?
The popup blocker might be running through a proxy.
Go to Tools\internet_options\connections and click the "Lan settings" button. Uncheck the "Use proxy server" box.

Proxy box was already unchecked.
