Hi ya

Can anyone help with the following. I know NT 4 has no Defrag installed and you can install 3rd Party defrag like Diskkeeper.

Am I right in thinking that NT 4 does need to be defrag even though Microsoft orignally thought it didn't??????

Yes it would help to defrag it. Any of the utility programs such as Norton Utilities, SystemSuite/FixIt Utilities can do it if WinNT4 is listed in the system requirements. The free Diskeeper Lite should work, too, if you can still find it. Seems they've changed it to Trialware on their site.

Andy,

This article provides an overview of fragmentation in NT and you'll see that, as Bert says, defragging is a good idea.
