Hi, I have 2 hard drives installed onto my computer and on hard drive 1 my system info like the installation folders and stuff that run my OS is on there but on hard drive 2 I have programs that I installed and a folder that contains the viruses that my antivirus scanner has caught, I am saving the viruses to study their source coding but heh dont worry I dont send them to people, well anyways I was wondering if there is a way to password protect this folder so that if I double click on the folder or try to access or open it it will prompt me for a password and I also would like to know if I can make it so that it will do the same thing when trying to access it from a internet browser or something like that..... Heh well if anyone could help me out on this problem please do....

Is <a target="_blank" href=http://pcworld.shopping.yahoo.com/yahoo/article/0,aid,110663,00.asp>this</a> what you have in mind?
There are also a number of third party apps that will password protect but they cost $35 and up. Just enter "password protect windows folders" in the Google search window to check them out.

So did you find anything else that was sort of like what I asked for on my other reply to the post?

No I didn't. The third party apps I came across cost money. Why don't you do a search with Google. /images/forums/icons/smile.gif
