Hi all.

I want to install Cygwin on my W2K Pro machine. But I'm a total newbie with Cygwin, I mean TOTAL. So I want to know:
1- will it somehow create problems with my work with Windows?
2- What will it install? An icon that I can click on to enter a command line shell that I can exit whenever I want, or will it change the way I work with Windows forever?

If this is not the place to ask these things, could anybody direct me to the right place, please?

Thanks.

well, I'm a bit impatient ;)
so I already installed it!
Yes, it gives no problems and it installs a direct access to the command line interpreter that you can exit whenever you want. As a matter of fact, it is just another window when opened.
Thanks anyway!
