View Full Version : Help - I got a 'Backdoor.Sdbot' virus (WXP-Pro)

The 'Backdoor.Sdbot' virus has infected my computer. I managed to restore most of my files, but it infected my 'system32.exe' file (C:\windows\system32\system32.exe). Can I allow this file to be deleated as I think it might be important?

Please help!!!

There is no such file in windows. That is your virus.

What should I do?
Should I just delete it or is there a special procedure to follow?

Just delete it.
Also look for and delete the key in your registry in HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Currentversion/Run that mentions that file.
