Can anyone tell me the 'basics' for load calculations. Specifically, If the webserver(s) in question are used only for HTTP/FTP/NNTP traffic only, how do I find a 'ball park' figure to determine how many machines I may need if X number of users or requests are made?
What I'm really looking for is where/how the information for each protocol and/or machine can be found to determine the calculations.
I've tried multiple searchs on technet, but nothing 'simple' has come up. Any help that points me in the right direction would be nice.
