I have a two pc home network connected by crossover cable, the pc with the internet connection is running XP Pro and the other which uses ICS is running XP Home. The only way that the network functions properly is if the host machine is booted up first. If the client is booted first a reboot is required after the host has completed its boot up sequence to get the network to work. Is this behaviour normal because I seem to remember that this problem did not occur several months ago prior to re formatting both pc's?
