I have a large network comprising of Windows 2000 servers and Windows XP workstations. A user has raised an issue with me where when they modify and save a previously created file, such as as Word document or Excel spreadsheet, the "Archive" attribute is not always set. This means that during our nightly backup this modified file is not backed up due to the fact that the backup program does not see this "A" flag set. This runs the risk of modified files not being backed up to tape. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
