I want to know if there is a way for me to stop a program on my computer from being able to access the internet. I can do it with a firewall like Zone Alarm, but I don't want to have to install any third party software.

Hi

The Internet Connection Firewall packaged with Windows XP is not desinged to block traffic from your computer, only to block inbound traffic.

ICF was also not designed to act as your primary firewall software and I would strongly advise you to purchase a thrid-party firewall harware/software solution.

I am hoping that you can help me with my issue. I want to deny access
to 4
out of 5 computers in a work group all sharing DSL internet access in a
windows xp environment.

Hi dude
For me Zone Alarm does the job. I also tried McAfee Internet Security which was so powerful that it blocked my internet access. I was unable to even open websites after installing it, so i had to uninstall it. Maybe you should try PC Mechanic.
Hope that helps
