Hi all,

what I want to be able to do is to protect a directory so that only my Win2K user can read its content. I want for no other user, not even the local administrator to be able to do this.
If this is NOT possible, then, does anybody know of any piece of software that can kinda encrypt the contents of the folder with a password? I know there is a program called XCODE that does exactly that but with files, I wanna do it with folders.

Thanks so much,

I have found a freeware program: file buddy.
It seems to do what I wanted.

Thanks anyway!

if you may want that you're the only one to access a folder you may try to edit the security properties of the folder and allow only the specific user to access the folder...

you can only edit the security option if you have the administrative rights to do so...

But all that is hopeless. Anyone in the Local admin group has the right to take ownership of ANY folder. If you are really that worried about your stuff just zip it up with a password.
