Master Browser Problem.. this is doing my head in (WNT)

Two problems we have 38 servers around the group...and have mixed mode envoirnment the primary is 2000 and there are a quite alot of w2k servers and NT4 servers. first problem when we look in server manager all the servers are grayed out except our local ones (on site) but the greyed out ones can still be administrated . second problem is when will do an entrie network we can only see our local lan...but all machines on the wan can be seen if you do a find computer

Need help! please is this a master browser problem is so how do i fix it?
