Is there a way to edit the registry to make my computer view .jpgs as wallpaper?I can do this by viewing my active desktop as a webpage under display, but when i do i get alot of flickering when i move my mouse.

I think you answered your own question when you said you get a lot of flickering.
Image viewers like ACDSee and IrfanView give you an option to set any image file as wallpaper, but they do this by taking a bitmap copy of the image and using that. These are both well-known and reputable programs, and the fact that they are programmed that way suggests to me that your wallpaper will have to stay as bitmap.

one way that u can do it is right click on the picture and go to rename then at the end of the file u will see .jpg (ex.filename.jpg) erase the jpg part on the filename and make it like this (ex.filename.bmp) and then it will be the same piture that is was before but now it is in a bitmap format so u can put on your desktop. but it might flicker like it does when u have the destop as active

Silent Ambush,

Simply renaming a file from .jpg to .bmp will not make it so. These are two different formats. You will have to convert the jpg to a bmp before doing renaming it.

Yeah! And you can turn a Word document into an Excel spreadsheet the same way. NOT!
