Hello!
I have a system being attacked by a virus. Afterwards, one of the scanner, the CANON FS4000US, stopped function, giving the windows "twain data source not found" when trying to access the scanner from any twain compatible program. The scanner itself works on other machines. And on the problem machine, all other scanners works.
I have done the following:
1. Got rid of the virus. (Norton antivirus pro)
2. Re-checked the system files. (sfc.exe /scannow)
3. Run registry checker. (regclean.exe)
4. Checked startup settings. (startuplist.exe)
5. Re-insalled the driver. The driver works and can diagnose the scanner.
I can see nothing wrong, but suspect there is something in the registry doing this. Any ideas?
