I recently installed avast! 4 antivirus-suite, and after that A LOT of programs started killing on startup. The funny thing is that I don't get any error messages. Mainly installers crash. Sometimes even WinZip. I know the files aren't corrupt as i can open them with XP's internal .ZIP-viewer. As i startup my PC everything is fine, but some time after startup these problems start ocurring. I also installed a 10 gig HD, that i found. This contained WIN NT. Could this be the problem? It's seriosly bugging me, and the antvirus won't even let me uninstall it?? I installed an audiosuite, and got an error message saying something like "I cannot access ******.dll please reinstall". How do I check the REG for limited access to system .dll's?
