I read that with WXP a modem to modem connection can be to work as a network.
Going to Network Connections-->New Connection-->Setup an advanced connection-->Accept Incoming connections-->choose the modem-->choose "Do not virtual private connections"-->Add user permissions and setup user name and password-->Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)-->properties-->choose "Specify TCP/IP Addresses"
From [ip]
To [ip]
Total [#]
-->finish
*This is to work as a server
The other person needs to create a Dial-up server connection.
Create a new account -->Connect to the network at my workplace --> Dial-up connection--> choose modem -->write a name [ex. John's PC] --> write phone number -->finish
*So this person can call to the server, example me if i have the incoming connections configured
Are these procedures correct? I tried [calling the modem of the person] but i just heard the phone calling, maybe is misconfigured the other pc?
And at last, how can i navigate or use the resources of the other pc (cd rom, floopy..) or whatever it can be done.
Thanks in advanced for any response.
