Hi,
on some machines when I start the group policy editor the entries under "policies for local machine > computer configuration > administrative templates" are missing. Does anybody know how to import these or why they are missing, please? Sorry, my english is not that advanced. Thanks

Hi!

I think that you may have to do some registry editing to get this working okej

Check the knowledge base article 271135 that is the only thing i found on this matter.

If you are trying to put the same restrictions on Win a 2k domain that are available on XP, you will have to import the .adm files from an xp machine into your 2k machine.

Thanks Timon and schwerv,
the problem was the following:
the directory %systemroot%\system32\GroupPolicy\adm was corrupt. It has mutated into a file but I don't know why
