I installed Kazza for my young son, but have ended up disapointing him because of all the Spyware and Adware baggage that comes with the program. I tried to get rid of Gain (I dont know what else is in there) but it won't work.

Does anyone know how to disarm Kazzas Adware and still have the functionality of the full program, without having to download the full program.

Yes, it's called "Don't use kazza media desktop" You're much better off with Kazza lite, the adware/spyware, etc. free version of it. Here's a link to to a site where you can download it

Ad-aware (http://doa2.host.sk/>http://doa2.host.sk/

Then) to check for adware/spyware and Spybot Search and Destory to be absolutely sure.

Lol, ok, Kazaa is gone, and Kazaa lite is in its place. I have one question though that I can;t seam to find an answer to on the net.

I used to use Kazaa until some of the files I waas downloading seemed to be distorted or seemed to spike and the sound rate would change. I would get some weird alien like sound, screaching out of my speakers.

Well when I installed the new Kazaa, I had none of these troubles, but now with kazaa lite, they are back again.

I have read this is to do with the progarm, I also read it is to do with the music industary destroying the mp3 liabary. Does anyone have any answers?

There doesn't seem to be much that can be done. When I download a new band off Kazaa Lite I usually download like 30 songs and get 10 of them to work. Just have to wed out.

Or you could use NeoModus http://www.neo-modus.com/ It is harder to use then Kazaa, more like if you are used to Mirc and you have to have a certain amount of data to share for some channels.
