Local Admin vs. NAV (WXP-Pro)

After the local admin account password is changed on our Windows XP Pro machines, Norton Antivirus fails to run. Uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't help, even after editing the registry. Help!

I am not sure how NAV works, but with McAfee you would have to go into Services and change the password on each Service that runs under Administrator.

Thanks Brf. I suppose I should have mentioned the version of our antivirus to begin with: NAVCE 7.51
Per Symantec, no version before v7.6 is compatible with XP. Period. Guess that says enough, huh!
