Can someone please tell me step by step how to downgrade from Windows ME to windows 98?? I HATE Windows ME and I HAVE to get it off here :)

Well, the best way is to boot to a Win98SE boot floppy and run fdisk to delete the partition [but you'll lose everything on the drive], reboot and run fdisk again to create the partition. Reboot and format the drive/partition then install Win98. If you have the floppy that came with Win98, it will give you CD support and start the installation.

ok, thanks...but i don't have a 98 boot floppy, just the cd...what now?

go to <a target="_blank" href=http://www.bootdisk.com>www.bootdisk.com</a> and download one for your version of Win98. The original CD says Windows 98 but the next version CD says on it Windows 98 Second Edition. There may have been a CD in between those that included Service Pack 1 but I've not run across it.
