Hi,
Hope someone can help me here, I'm at a loss...
I've been given a friend's dad's laptop to sort out (some niggly windows things) - it's an old work laptop, so no luxuries like Win2k install CDs, etc.
Things were going well until I tried to get onto our home network (workgroup "HOME", suprisingly) to share files. So I go and switch from the Domain to a Workgroup, and all is fine...
...until I reboot and get to the login screen. The Domain box has gone (didn't suprise me) but I can't login with his username/password - they seem dependant on the domain. There's no way of changing it without logging in, and to log in I need to change it. I tried booting in safe mode but that still wants me to log in.
Evidently I wasn't the right man for the job!
Anyway I'm after a solution. Either some (hack/crack) to get around the login screen (the C-A-D variety) so's I can change the settings back, or some way of changing the settings without going that far in.
Thanks in advance... I hope...
