Can anybody decode this please?
An exception 06 has occured at 0028 : 00000017 in VXD ---, This was called from 0028:C001A2C0 in VXD NDIS (01) + 0000274C

I then pressed any key to continue, and the main desktop came back up, but I was on Kazaa, and the network speeds had dropped, so I restarted the PC?

The user mode exceptions you are seeing can be caused by multiple different things e.g. bad RAM, bad hardware, drivers, applications etc. As the NDIS driver is mentioned the first thing I would try would be a new network card driver.
