All the folders in my directory have defaulted to the 'Thumbnails' view whereas before I chose to have the 'Details' view'

I don't want to have to go thru every single folder & its sub folders and put this option back again

How can I do this in one fell stroke?

I do not want to use 'Restore Defaults' in Folder Options as this will wipe out all my other Folder configurations eg background images and templates

'Customise This Folder' doesn't do the business - I've tried

I tried manually altering each folder but some of them went back to thumbnails view Help pajamahead

Go back to a good copy of the registry .

Toggle F8 ( when , verifying DMI pool message comes on ) or Press
Ctrl during bootup , depends on your computer .

Select , Safe mode Command prompt

After the C prompt , type , scanreg /restore

Follow the prompts and select a registry dated prior to the problems .
