I have a system running Windows 2000. When you go into "My Computer" I am unable to view anything inside of it.
If I go to Windows Explorer I am able to view the folders and subfolders but no files inside of the folders. If you click on a folder it is blank excpet for a small gray box with a dot in it in the upper left hand corner.
I am able to get to the registry but if I try go to into even the control panel I cannot see any icons in there.
I have tried everything that I can think of from. The only thing left that I can think of is maybe a trogan that is not allowing me to view any of this.
Is there a reg hack that I can do to possibly re-enable viewing icons??? Or has anyone seen this? I'd rather rebuild the system instead of paying the $100 fee that MS wants.
Thanks for any help anyone can possibly give!
