Well, I bet you can all guess whats going on here, if only somebody could tell me why, before I chuck some beer over the PC?? Trying to run a program and I get this error, also PC is starting to pause and stick alot, but I have only just put 98 back on it.
It consists of 2 HDD 60 and 120 GB on the same channel. Pioneer AO5 and Liteon 52X burner on the same channel, AMD2000XP runnig at 1667Mhz 256 ddr Ram. The 60Gig HDD has about 3 Gigs used and the 120 has about 60 Gigs used, none of them are partitioned. Heres the error I get on this program (Xmpeg 5.0) trying to convert a DVD into a DivX for a laptop. Thanks in advance, Paul

You may want to split up your 120gb if it's fat32 as 98+ with large hd's fat32 can be a bit unstable.

Defragged recently (in safemode).

Ensure dma is enabled on all hd's.

It's best to have main prog on 'c' and editing burning on another hd.

Also try turning off non-vital b/g progs.

Thanks for that, I have now emptied my 120Gb, but When I try to use Partion Magic, it crashes with a windows error, Fdisk will only make the cpomplete disk about 57Gb, any ideas how I can get around this please?

You might want to try downloading and using the manufacturer's disk utilities to partition and reformat the HD.

Always glad to help!

You know why they called it Windows?
Because as soon as it opens, all the bugs get in.
