I'm using Outlook 2000 SP2 and cannot view files directly in an Outlook message, the prompts now tells me (with the secutity update) that I have to save on disk the attached file instead of giving me the choice of either viewing the file or save it. Is there a Registry entry I could edit to have the prompt like before the security update?

Thanks,
Mario

i dont know why you would want to do that, you never know if your opening something safe or not, so i would think that was a good thing, though it can be annoying, i would just leave it be, and save it to desktop or something, scan it and then craefully open it.

Thats just a easy problem that can be fixed w/o editing the reg. When in outlook just hit tools options then click on the sucirity tab then fint the part that talks about not veiwing attchments then un-check the box
