Hello all....so glad to find this site....have always been wondering whether it's possible to remove the "Format" option from the Drives context menu, ie. when you right-click on a drive, you can format it....cos I sometimes have little cousins coming over to play and I dun wan them to be itchy handed, right-click and format my C drive...anyway to prevent formatting or remove/disable that option using the registry?
You wont be able to format your C-Drive anyway, unless you boot up on a floppy or something. If you are still afraid, you could always delete or rename the \windows\system(32)\format.com

Hi...thanks for the info, but I was looking more to removing the "Format" option from the context menu...just like when you install WinZip, they will add the "Add to Zip" option to the context menus and remove them when you uninstall Winzip...
