I am just starting to reformat my other computer. I am at the C prompt, I have restarted with the startup disk in drive A:. when I type "format c:" (without the quotations) it says format not supported on drive C? can someone clarify what to do next.
also I changed to the d: and tried typing format c, and it said, not ready reading drive D. went to a: and typed format c: and it said not supported on C.

so not sure what to do now.

Go to the A: prompt and type FDISK. Select yes to enable large disk support and then select 4 to view the partition information. I may have missed a few steps but just follow the prompts. Post back with the details that are shown.
