Very Slow computer (WXP-Pro)

Hi all,
I just installed a fresh copy of Windows XP Pro on my PC. At first it was fine, until I started applying Microsoft Hot Fixes.
After a few reboots, system became very very slowwwww. This was so bad that I decided to reinstall, but now even during installation phase, when copying files from CD to Windows directory, it is very slow too.
Any ideas? Could it be something wrong with the HDD?

I had checked the Task Mgr and nothing is chewing up either CPU or consuming Memory!!!

Is a problem with SP1 i think. You have to download the hotfix for that, try from scratch. Search on microsoft site or here http://www.winxpnews.com.
