Hi all,

My friend got alert from www.techieindex.com, whom redirected to me. " Sun Microsystems has signed a series of deals with hardware manufacturers in a bid to prevent Java being dropped from PCs." While read I just confused, Does Sun afraid Microsoft or Linux?.

I wouldn't think that they were afraid of them. They are trying to work with Linux by making deals with SCO. They have always been in competition with MS, but they have a better hold on the wireless device market than MS does. I'd think that is is more of a matter of trying to secure from obsolescence and assuring people that Java can be a secure environment. They aren't protecting themselves from being eliminated by MS or Linux, just the evolution of tech and modern security itself.

Just my opinion.
