here's the deal:
lanboy with 350W
two opt drives
two Hard drives (one sata, one parallel)
intel p4 2.4ghz canterwood
abit ic7-g bios flashed
whenever i try changing the fsb from 200 to 201+, my harddrives disappear or they arent detected. when i go 250+, my whole system shuts down so i have to reset cmos. my core volts is at 1.550 while memory (512 DDR400) is at 2.8 and my graphics card is at 1.6v. my dramcpu ratio is at 5:4 and the agp ratio is at 6:4:1. what's wrong with my computer?

There may not be anything wrong with your computer per se.
The unfortunate thing is, that not every mainboard likes to be overclocked, or have certain settings modified, even if the options are there to do it.
My own system does similar weird things.
System problems as such, serve to inform us the hard way, that it doesn't like the settings that you have chosen. /images/forums/icons/frown.gif
If you're trying to change too many settings at one time, or varying one setting by too much, that could also cause problems.
If you know what changes you make that work without fail, reset those to defaults, and try changing just your fsb settings. It may not have liked some other config changes you made to the system.
Always glad to help!

Noted the similar board, and since I'm using the IC-7 as well, albeit with a different processor (2.66B), and have had some similar problems overclocking the system as well. In my case, it turned out to be with the AGP ratio. As the FSB went up, so did the intermittent problems. Once I went into the BIOS, and locked the AGP ratio to default, which I think is 4:3:1, my problems disappeared, at least to the point I was able to find that I'd pretty much reached the limit with the 2.66G, at 3.2G.
