change the name of the person registered (WXP-Pro)

I installed windows for a friend and did a typo on their last name and would like to change it. Is this possible? Can I edit the registered name of a person on the computer?

Yes. Open regedit (start > run > regedit) and navigate to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion and change the RegisteredOwner value.
