Hi all,
I am in a confused state of mind. I have got IE6 SP1. Nowadays, when I go to Tools and select Internet Options, I get this error message :
"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."
Is this due to some virus or trojan. Or is this because of the firewall that I have installed. Also let me inform you that very recently my comp was infected by W32.Blaster.Worm, which I got successfully removed. Is this the after effect of this attack? Please help me out.

Couple things here maybe. Do you use Spybot S&D ? If so, check the immunize section and make sure there is no check in the *Lock IE control Panel*
If no joy there, go to Start > Run > regedit
Drill down to :
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte rnet Explorer\
Control Panel]
Look in the right hand pane for *Accessibility* and, if present, set its' value to 0 (zero)

You may need to do the same at HKLM

WOW!!
Thanks Mac! Yes I indeed use Spybot S&D, and like you said, I had enabled the "Lock IE Control Panel". I unchecked it and i't working now. Thanks a million times for the help :)
