Hi..
I've been attacked by MSBlast like millions around the world , and I managed to get rid of it.
However , i checked in msconfig.exe , and the MSBlast still exists in my Startup tab (in msconfig).
even if it has no affect , and even if i can uncheck its box , could you PLEASE tell me the way to completely delete it from this list ?
there are also other things i would like to delete from that list and it's simply impossible.

Thanks in advance !

Hi ArsT,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg

you delete subkeys to remove disabled items from msconfig

wow .. thank you so much for the instant reply
but i still have one tiny question just to be sure..
i went to the location you told me
when i click the folder : windows auto update , there are six lines , the second is : Name - command , type - REG_SZ , Date - msblast.exe

should i delete only this one ? and leave the others ?

could u plz be more specific about what i should delete ? because i have the feeling i'm going to do something wrong there ( ;

thanks again !!

Just delete the whole folder windows auto update When it is highlighted/selected on the left hand pane, click on Edit > Delete.
If you are terribly unsure, then you can always back up this key first. When you have the key selected go to File > Export > give it a name you will remember and save it where you will remember. Then delete the key. Then reboot. If the entry is gone from msconfig and everything else is fine , delete the reg file you exported and saved.
whewwww.
