Yes I did a search (B4 U ask!) & there appear 2 B some tricks that don't fully work, so I thought I'd just state what I have been looking for, what I'd like 2 C & what Microsoft should have done!!!

Windows seems 2 open windows as large as the screen resolution but they R not maximized. This is pointless because there is no difference between maximized & restore down until U manually set a size by dragging. The window should B able 2 B set 2 open maximized or at a particular size by default. The size should B able 2 B set also.

I powerbrowse so it drives me crazy when IE windows open full-screen & I have 2 resize then close then reopen.

This seems 2 B a common topic here so I don't think I'm alone.

Try this, make sure you backup these keys first.

1: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell NoRoam\BagMRU]

2: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell NoRoam\Bags]

Delete the BagMRU & Bags keys respectively and reboot windows for the fix to kick in.

Now you will need to reset your view & status bar settings and they should hold.
