I would like to get rid of the Internet explorer icon on the desktop. I went to the tools tab and Internet options and advanced. There is no box to uncheck to remove it from the desktop. I thought this was the way to do it. I don't use IE6 as my default browser and want to move it off the desktop, but not remove it from my system. I use SBC/Yahoo with the Yahoo browser and e-mail. How do I go about getting rid of the icon only from the desktop. Thanks, Skid

Just right-click on it and delete.

You mean to tell me I won't lose Internet Explorer, just the desktop icon? I was afraid I would delete the whole dern program, by just deleting it.

If only /images/forums/icons/laugh.gif

First of all, you cannot delete Internet Explorer from your system no matter what you do. But that aside, deleting an icon from the desktop is never the same as deleting a program.
