Status bar keeps turning off (WXP-Pro)

For some reason every couple days, or so the status bar turns itself off. No one else accesses this computer. Can anyone shed some light on this mystery?

Its a known bug in XP.

Close any instances of IE.

Open Windows Explorer, click view > status bar

Click Tools > Folder options > view. Click Apply to all folders
