hello all
I downloaded and installed the trial-version of registry-mechanic 5.5 for scanning my registry. After using "compact registry" and later unstalling the software, it scans while win98 is booting the system every time I start the computer. WHY? I don't want this feature, how can I delete it? Is there a hidden entry?
thx
xxx

hi, to stop scanning registry at startup,

Navigate to C:\Program Files\Registry Mechanic
and Double click on the RMReg.exe file.

Now restart your computer.

Alternately you can navigate to the file autoexec.bat in C:\ right click and select Edit, notepad will open you can then delete any line of text that contains (scanreg) including
(c:\windows\command\scanreg /opt /fix). Then click Save

hi, thx for your help, it worked! :D
I also found:
start msconfig>autoexec there's an entry "regscan", put off the cross and scanning stops.
