I was tweaking my registry to improve cable modem speed. All of a sudden I could not access certain sites. The ones I can access are VERY fast. I reinstalled my Windows into another directory and I have all of the sites working, but obviously my other programs aren't "registered".Is there a way I can "cut and paste " the relevant parts of the new registry to the old to restore the web site functionality again? Both browsers are the same versions and have the same default settings. Thanx in advance.

What exactly did you tweak? MaxMTU? DefaultRcvWindow? I'm getting 1152-1280 kbps. My connection through cable modem is consistantly 3 times faster that the T1 line where I work.(fast - Unbelievably FAST). What kind of speeds are you getting? Maybe you should have tried restoring a backup of the registry first. Your programs are still "registered", but you probably still have incorrect paths in the registry. I'd try using Regclean.
