Maybe this doesn't belong on Winguides, but I found a couple of posts about this device in the Archives so some of you must have it. So I thought I'd share.
I recently bought an old Archos Jukebox 6000. Its pretty cool. Six gigs of mp3s. Mmmmm. I did some research to find instructions for cracking the case and replacing the hdd with a bigger one (20 gigs of mp3s: MMMMMMMMM!) and found that there is a group of developers that have created an open source 'operating system' for the Archos players with much improved features. They call if firmware, but I think it is really an OS since the hardware starts up and then if there is a certain file on the drive root it loads it, which then runs the system. Anyway:
