hi all; running my direct x dianostic tool told me that iac25_32ax is a beta ,version 2.00.05.0053 11'18'98 and the main driver is unceretified "ndisp.drv" also the sound driver is uncertified SBPCI.VXD
is this something I should correct? I have DX version 4.07.00.0716 .I downloaded the 7a patch and had problems with a game freezing up and reinstalled the origional version off my micron CD.
Should I reinstal DX media?
I'm a rookie at all this so any info would be wonderfull.

Don't do anything!!! The certification messages are stating that those particular files have not been validated to be compatible with directX. It doesn't mean the files will create conflicts. Believe me I have had my experiences when directX was first introduced. I know your curious! I was too. Don't mess with the directX setup. You can venture on to many other area's within Windows. You have restored your original directX version. All is good!!

enjoy

That's a darn good point--I suppose there's nothing wrong with sticking a breadknife into the toaster--as long as you're smart enough to unplug the toaster first... 'nuff said!
